About Build Your Story

Build and export a polished CV or resume in minutes: start from scratch, import from LinkedIn, or use your own AI assistant. Free, no sign-up, and your CV is never stored anywhere but your own browser.

Your privacy

There are no accounts. Everything you fill in your CV is never stored anywhere except your own browser's local storage. The one exception is downloading a PDF: your CV data leaves your browser just long enough to generate the file, then it's discarded. If you send a bug report or an idea, only the message you write, your language and the date are saved, with no email or other details attached.

The story behind this app

Build Your Story exists to make one of the most stressful parts of a job search a little easier: putting together a CV that actually shows the work behind it. The template is based on the strongest CVs seen across years of interviewing candidates for technical roles, so it fits that world more naturally than others. If you work in a different field and think the template could serve you better, share the idea, happy to look into it.
